Job Summary:
The Legal Advisor will be responsible for giving professional legal advice to all concerned and upholding the applicable laws carried out by professionals, protecting the company and its legal rights and duties. This opportunity will also involve drafting and researching contracts, legal conflicts, risk management issues, and providing counsel on these matters, and providing good legal advice in making decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a legal adviser for the company in all aspects of law, including but not limited to contracts, statutes, labor, and corporate affairs.
- Draft, review and negotiate various types of contracts, agreements, NDAs, MoUs partnership agreements etc.
- The company to be defended in lawsuits, and coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
- Monitor any amendments to the law and update company policy.
- Assist management in strategic legal review and planning to minimize risk.
- Support the other internal departments in all daily legal issues and documentation.
- Maintain good records on court cases, contracts and other documentary transactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- LLB / LLM or similar Degree in Law at the baccalaureate or master’s level.
- You have 3-8 years of relevant experience in corporate, commercial, or labour law (depending on the level).
- A good knowledge of legislation, contract and regulatory concepts.
- Writing, oratory and negotiation candidates.
- Ability to work under stress and multi-task on different cases or programs.
- Strong analytical skill and level of details oriented.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in a law firm or an in-house legal department.
- Experience in disputes resolution, contract law or compliance management.
- Bar Council subscription (to practising lawyers).
Salary Range:
Competitive – dependent on skills and experience.
